PEACE WITH GOD LUTHERAN

We are a small congregation of like-minded Christians established in the Onalaska area in February, 2000. Our members live within a 30 mile radius of Onalaska. Our “church” is an attractive office suite at the La Crosse Area Builders Association Building on 2nd Avenue South / Hwy 35. We are about 1⁄2 mile north of the I-90 & Hwy 35 interchange. Our pastor is Chad Seybt of Augusta, WI. He has served us since December 2020, and also serves CLC congregations in Melrose, Millston, and Fairchild, WI. Our congregation is a member of the larger affiliation, the Church of the Lutheran Confession (CLC), which was established in 1960. We worship every Saturday morning at 9:30 AM with Bible class after the service.

THE CHURCH OF THE LUTHERAN CONFESSION (CLC):

The CLC is a confessional Lutheran church body which is dedicated to proclaiming the Good News of Christ crucified for sinners. It is represented by congregations

throughout the United States and Canada, as well as in Africa and India. Our teachings and practices are as narrow and broad as the Scriptures themselves, since

we bow only to the authority of our Lord’s inerrant Word. The salvation won for us through the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the driving force behind our efforts as a confessional Lutheran church. All of the CLC member churches confess that the Bible is the inspired and unerring Word of God. They confess the creeds of the Lutheran Church without qualification, as they are found in the Book of Concord of 1580. Scripture itself is the source and foundation of Christian teaching and faith — The Lutheran confessions are a faithful setting forth of what Scripture teaches. The name of our church body is a witness to what we believe; it is a continual reminder of our responsibility to be truly Lutheran, and therefore Scriptural in our teaching and in our practice. This principle holds true among us: “If it is not Scripture; it is not Lutheran!”
